Time is zooming by. It's awesome to watch my baby grow and to watch those big blue eyes taking everything in along the way. But 8 months? Seriously, when did that even happen??????? Nevermind that he all of a sudden became this guy on the go. He's ready for everything and anything. So much development so quickly.
What came with his 8th month of being in the world:
- Hiccups with laughter. Every single time.
- The roll crawl. He gets to where he wants to go by doing a series of rolls and acrobatic like pivots and breakdancing contortions. He is quite the resourceful fellow.
- He is grunting up a storm. I guess he's discovering what his voice can do, and right now that involves expressing his inner cave man.
- He's into everything, so naturally he's learned to open drawers. Over and over and over again.
- There's this sexy side pose he does where he looks like he's posing for a nudey portrait. I tried my hardest to capture it on camera but I was never able. This saddens me. It will have to live on in internal memory forevermore.
- The sexy side pose was a result of learning to go from laying down to sitting. He's upright all the live long day.
- There's a lot of face planting going on with all these new movements.
- When I'm nursing him, he strokes my hair. It's one of my favourite things.
- He says "mamamamamamama". I realize this is not him saying "mama", but it still made me cry.
The love overfloweth for Mister Leo.
