This was Leo's first Halloween, so naturally it required some level of documentation. And in my case, that sort of translates into a photo sesh (or two). That would be why he is propped up to a neutral grey backdrop with some artistical masterpieces for pumpkins right up there. But never the matter and never the mind, because his cuteness warrants an endless amount of photographical evidence.
Considering the fact that this was his very first Halloween, I started thinking about his costume months ago. When I would bring it up to Roberto he would scoff and proclaim, "It's too early!", crushing my mama heart. For all I want is for all his firsts to be fantastical.
We had a Halloween kiddo party we were invited to at our friends' house, but it required all 3 of us to be in costume. I love me some consistency and theme-age, so I wanted our little fam jam to be some sort of matching trio. I scoured Pinterest for weeks, but so many ideas required so much effort. Or sewing. And sew I do not.
Then on one of my many recent trips to the Disney store (the second happiest place on Earth after Disneyworld itself), I saw this little Mickey Mouse onesie. Done and done. We would be the Mousekateers!!!
All we needed was some ear appendage accessories and some red, black, and white.
M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!
Leo obviously couldn't have really cared less at this point in his existence, but he wore his costume all day on Halloween and got super annoyed at his moms for sticking a camera and/or iPhone in his face upon the slightest instance of a smile or giggle.
He'll live.
Though clearly he was so over it.
But I guess if I couldn't even eat the candy yet and my mouse ears kept falling on my face, I would be too.
This year's pumpkin trio:
