Here we go. Playing catch-up.
Leo continues to amaze in just being his baby self. And I could stare at him all day in wonder. It's the best entertainment, a little human being just doing what he do.
The particulars of the 6th Month:
- The foot obsession continues.
- He just rolls and rolls and rolls. I think it's his current form of crawling and getting from place to place or from toy to scattered toy. Round and round and round he goes, where he stops nobody knows.
- He still loves his sleep, but he's also a night owl and stays up late. He goes to sleep around 9-9:30, which is apparently late for babies (word on the street). But going to bed at that time enables us to have more family time, to be able to go out places and not worry about any early bedtime crankiness, and MOST importantly it means he sleeps until almost 9 in the morning. I know. I know. I am thanking the heavens as we speak for our good fortune.
- He pulls his hair lightly when nursing. It's the sweetest thing.
- When I go to get him in the morning or after his nap, he does this head pop to see me and then kicks his legs in total happiness and excitement. It's the best.
- He sits up on his own now, albeit he's still a little wobbly and we need to be on guard for face plants at all times. But he's on his way to, you know, practically being an adult.
- Gone are the days of an easy and efficient diaper change. There is no staying still for the no longer docile infant. Since he has perfected his rolling abilities, that is all he wants to do at all times. As a result, changing diapers has become a cirque-du-soleil-esque acrobatic event. Literally, I work up a sweat.
But as always, the love overfloweth for Mister Leo.
