My love affair with tissue paper pom poms began at the time of my own bridal shower. The real Martha pointed me in the direction of these lovely lil' poufs, and I’ll never look back.
For my friend Meleny’s bridal shower on Sunday, we used a combination of handmade and store bought poms. We actually used the Martha kit for tissue paper pom poms, she is the queen after all, the décor deity.
I made the handmade ones using Martha’s tutorial (found here). I used tissue in the colours of purple and two shades of green. This is probably the easiest craft to do, and has quite a big impact because of the pops of colour. I highly recommend using this easy décor idea for any party, because really all you need is your tissue colour of choice!
For my MOH’s bridal shower in July (an all white themed fête), I definitely plan on pom pom-ing it up, probably with a lil' twist of making the poms look like lace.
My pom pom love is endless.
