One of my favorite places to go to on the island is Boskinac Hotel/Restaurant/Winery. Rob and I have gone once every time we’ve been together to Croatia as our splurge romantical fancy shmancy meal – we also went there the day we got engaged, so its near and dear to our hearts along with just being plain ol’ awesome. This time we went twice, we took my parents there the first time and returned near the end of our trip for an early celebration of our 1 year wedding anniversary (eek!).
As always, Boskinac did not disappoint. The food was amazing and their wine equally amazing as well. I’m not one to be lucky enough to frequent expensive haute cuisine type of restaurants, so going to Boskinac is like my tastebuds winning the lottery. The atmosphere is also gorgeous, even though it is not on the water. Instead you are on a quietly beautiful terrace overlooking the vineyard. It is nestled in the middle of the island and reminds me much of the south of France. The pictures below can do the talking.
Also, Frommer's gave Boskinac its top rating of 3 stars for a “Frommer’s Exceptional” and though I am no connoisseur, I second the motion!
We brought back a bottle of their white wine as well, to drink on our actual anniversary, coming up so crazily soon on September 18th. My mouth is watering just thinking about popping that bottle.
