Another great idea for my MOH's recent bridal shower involved an apron signing memento for the bride. Instead of a traditional guest book, we decided to have the guests sign an all white apron (hitting the white theme and the baking theme all at once... or two birds with one apron, wink wink).
The end result really was quite beautiful and special. It added that little extra oomph of sentimentality to the day, and I know the bride was quite happy for it.
The same type of idea can be applied to many a bridal shower theme, something that the bride can wear or display or actually use (rather than a guest book she likely will never look at again). It offers a more touching and constant reminder of a day filled with the love and laughter of family and friends. And those are good things to be reminded of on the regular.
